HoCoPoLitSo, the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society, seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to help this esteemed arts organization in its mission of presenting high-quality literary events. Responsibilities include writing grants, assisting the Board in designing programs; identifying, contacting, and contracting guest artists; preparing program and promotional copy; assisting in HoCoPoLitSo’s fundraising efforts; and attending monthly meetings with the Board chairs. The position’s variable work schedule involves an average of ten hours a week with an annual compensation of $10,000-$12,000. The Program Coordinator is supervised by HoCoPoLitSo’s Managing Director.
The ideal candidate is experienced in grant writing, has excellent business writing skills, works well on deadline and within budget, and would enjoy working with others to “let there be lit” in our community.
